Our approach

A safari should feel like yours, not a version of everyone else's.

Every journey starts with a conversation about how you like to travel: early starts or slow mornings, walking or watching, a camp of twelve tents or a house of your own. From there we build a route that fits, choosing guides and camps we have stayed in ourselves.

The result is quieter than a package safari and more personal. Your vehicle waits when the light is good, your camp knows how you take your coffee, and if the herds move, your plans move with them.

  • Exclusive-use camps and private houses
  • Specialist guides chosen for your interests
  • One planner and a 24-hour line

From our guests

What travellers carried home.

Our guide knew when to wait, when to move and when to switch the engine off and say nothing. On the third morning the herds crossed right in front of us, and there was no one else there.
EleanorSerengeti and Rwanda, September
Three generations, one camp, and nobody felt they were compromising. My father still talks about the mokoro; my daughters talk about the meerkats.
MichaelBotswana family safari, August
The scale of Namibia was hard to take in, but it was the small things I remember: the pilot pointing out oryx from the cockpit, a picnic in a dry riverbed, the silence at night.

When to go

Where to be, month by month.

The migration moves, the rains come and go, and each country has its moment. Our month-by-month guide shows the best time for each destination, and when the quieter months are worth it.
